We are pleased to introduce Hallie S. Krause, the book fair arts marketing and communications intern for 2025.

Hallie is a senior attending the State University of New York at Purchase on the way to a Bachelors in Fine Arts in Printmaking and a BA in Literature. A graduate of Northampton High School, she is known to many cultural workers in the community through her behind-the-scenes office work as an arts administration intern at the Northampton Center for the Arts where she has edited and updated the center's on-line events calendar, drafted space rental contracts, and input annual budgetary data. Cafe goers may know Hallie from her restaurant work at The Florence Pie Bar and at Familiars Coffee and Tea in Northampton.
She will be interviewing exhibitors, writing for our blog, posting to social media, and helping to find new ways to reach out to long-time and new book fair exhibitors and attendees. You should expect to hear frequently from Hallie over the next three months. She'll also be helping out at the book fair in November: assisting at the admissions table, selling tickets, troubleshooting, and coordinating with exhibitors to ensure a safe, welcoming, and successful fair for booksellers, ephemera specialists, and book artists.

Hallie has an artist's eye for details, anticipating problems before they occur, capable of juggling many tasks and roles at once, without losing her cool, while making everyone feel calm in the course of her work. She is diligent, creative, well organized, and resourceful. Last summer, she juggled arts admin and restaurant work with another remote internship at Studio Potter magazine, where she indexed a kiln resource page; digitized and reformatted their print archive of articles for use on their website; and copy edited contemporary articles.
Hallie has also worked as a gallery assistant intern at Neuberger Museum of Art, a modern and contemporary art museum at the heart of the Purchase College campus. She has knowledge in printmaking (screenprint, intaglio, woodcut, linocut, lithography, and hand papermaking). To browse more of Hallie's art, go to the her Instagram @theprinted lamb
